Connected to the AE Community

Where industry conversations turn into real-world insight for Architecture and Engineering firms.

We believe the Architecture and Engineering (AE) industry moves forward when ideas, experience, and innovation are shared openly. That’s why we choose to be an active part of the AE community. Participating in events, associations, and conversations gives us the opportunity to learn from leaders across the industry, exchange perspectives, and contribute insights that support better project delivery, financial visibility, and firm performance.

Our commitment is to stay engaged, continue learning, and actively contribute to the progress of the architecture and engineering industry. By being part of this community, we not only share what we know – we gain valuable insights that help us build better solutions and deliver greater value to the firms we support.

Our Industry engagements

Being part of industry conversations across Architecture and Engineering keeps us aligned with the real challenges and priorities AE firms are facing today.

ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies)

ACEC brings together leading engineering firms, executives, and industry decision-makers across the United States who shape industry standards and guide the direction of the AE sector.

Through our ACEC engagements, we stay close to the industry’s evolving needs and contribute insights that support better visibility, stronger financial management, and more connected project operations for AE firms. This connection helps ensure our solutions remain relevant, practical, and aligned with the priorities of engineering firms across regions.

ACEC Canada

ACEC Canada has been the voice of Canadian consulting engineering companies for decades, representing firms that plan, design, and deliver essential infrastructure across the country. Its members provide independent advice and specialized expertise across a wide range of engineering disciplines, supporting projects that strengthen communities and drive economic development from coast to coast. Our engagement with ACEC Canada deepens our understanding of the Canadian AE landscape and ensures we remain connected to the priorities and perspectives of firms shaping Canada’s built environment.

ACEC Tech Committee

The ACEC Tech Committee brings together technology and business leaders from engineering firms to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and best practices across the AE industry. Through our involvement, we participate in practitioner-led discussions focused on how AE firms are approaching technology modernization, data strategy, and system integration. These conversations provide grounded insight into real-world challenges around adoption, governance, and change – helping ensure our perspective remains aligned with how firms are operating and evolving today.

Zweig Group partnership

Zweig Group is a leading authority on business performance, leadership, and operational best practices in the AE industry. Through research, benchmarking, and the ElevateAEC conference, they bring together firm leaders who are committed to strengthening profitability, improving operations, and driving long-term growth. Our partnership with Zweig Group allows us to contribute to conversations around modernization, financial visibility, and the evolving role of technology in AE firms.

Our perspective

Architecture and Engineering firms are entering a new era – one defined by connected data, real-time visibility, and AI-enabled project delivery. Success now depends on the ability to operate with greater agility, eliminate manual friction, and make decisions with clarity and confidence. As the industry moves toward unified platforms and predictive insights, firms are redefining what effective project execution looks like: risk becomes more visible, forecasting becomes more accurate, and leaders gain access to information they can act on instantly.

The priorities shaping AE firms today guide the conversations we lead and the modernization efforts we support across the AE community.

Frontier Firm model

The Frontier Firm represents a new standard where technology, data, and processes are tightly connected to create a more resilient and predictable business. These firms don’t just adopt new tools-they redesign how they operate to unlock visibility, efficiency, and long-term performance.

Agility

Modern AE firms need the ability to adapt quickly-from staffing and scheduling to forecasting and delivery. Agility replaces reactive decision-making with proactive, real-time visibility across the entire project lifecycle.

AI and intelligent operations

AI is becoming embedded in everyday AE work, supporting teams through copilots, predictive insights, and automated workflows. These capabilities reduce administrative burden and help project managers, finance leaders, and delivery teams operate with greater clarity and confidence.

Culture of change and adoption

Sustainable improvement comes from teams who embrace change, supported by systems that make daily work easier-not harder. Successful firms build cultures where modernization is continuous, anchored by clear communication, structured change management, and the confidence to evolve.

Event highlights

A look at some moments from recent AE industry events.

Elevate AEC

ElevateAEC is a leadership conference hosted by Zweig Group, bringing together AE firm executives to discuss performance, growth, and industry change. Our keynote on agility at scale explored how connected data, AI-enabled workflows, and change culture are shaping the next generation of AE firms. The discussion reinforced the importance of aligning technology with real operational needs to improve visibility, performance, and adaptability.

ACEC Fall Conference

The ACEC Fall Conference focuses on the challenges and priorities facing engineering firms across today’s evolving AE landscape. Our conversations with AE firm leaders centered on the shift toward more connected, AI-enabled operating models. In partnership with Microsoft, we explored what it means to become a “Frontier Firm” - aligning data across projects, finance, and people to improve visibility, reduce friction, and support confident decision-making as firms scale.
